Supporting Young Females & Creatives During a Formative Time in Their Careers by Giving Back Through Life-Changing Experience

our mission

creators, designers, artists, influencers, and entrepreneurs inspire us to see the world from a new perspective. A GIRL YOU MIGHT KNOW FOUNDATION was founded to protect the rights of women and young artists by sharing knowledge and experience about the contracting process and our rights under the law. We want to make it easier for young creators and entrepreneurs to obtain the legal guidance required to place them on an even playing field with prospective business partners, investors or employers.

how we help creatives

  • protect the rights of artists

At our core, we strive to safeguard the interests of emerging artists by drawing upon our business acumen to share valuable expertise and information. This includes guidance on their legal rights during the contract process, allowing them to navigate it with confident assurance.

  • connections to legal services & resources

In collaboration with licensed attorneys, we offer plain language templates, practical tips to safeguard working relationships, and when feasible, facilitate access to affordable legal services. Our aim is to equip artists with the necessary tools and knowledge to navigate legal complexities and foster long-lasting, fruitful partnerships.

  • community & creativity centered

We aim to foster a community and network that provides a safe and encouraging environment for artists to create without being subjected to unfair terms. Our ultimate goal is to empower artists to pursue their artistic visions with confidence and freedom.

  • giving back through financial grants and opportunities

As part of our commitment to supporting emerging artists, we offer annual financial grants and opportunities to help them obtain funding, resources, and legal services essential to launching their careers. By providing this valuable support, we strive to enable young creatives to pursue their passions and achieve their full potential.
